27 Apr 2026 PGF Capital Declares 3.5 Sen Dividend Despite Lower FY26 Profit Of RM26 Million
PGF Capital Bhd has proposed a first and final dividend of 3.5 sen per share for the financial year ended Feb 28, 2026 (FY26), maintaining shareholder returns despite reporting a lower headline profit for the year.
The payout, amounting to RM6.8 million and representing a 26.1% payout ratio, comes as the group posted profit after tax (PAT) of RM26 million for FY26, down 23.3% from RM33.9 million a year earlier.
However, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Fong Wern Sheng said the previous year’s earnings included a one-off reversal of impairment loss on land held for property development.
“Excluding that non-recurring gain and its related tax effect, adjusted FY25 profit would have been RM19 million, indicating stronger underlying profitability in FY26,” he added.
He then shared that revenue for the year rose 8.3% year-on-year to a record RM167.9 million, driven largely by higher sales from its core insulation business, which contributed 99.6% of total revenue.
As for the fourth quarter under review, revenue climbed 12.2% to RM37.8 million, while quarterly PAT stood at RM8 million versus RM13.9 million in the same period last year, which also benefitted from the one-off gain.
Overall, Fong said PGF is scaling its capabilities to capture long-term structural demand, with its sandwich panels now certified by SIRIM and BOMBA, enabling expansion into higher-specification applications such as data centres.
“Meanwhile, the group’s new insulation plant in Kulim is expected to commence operations in the second half of 2026, positioning it for further growth,” he added.
Despite geopolitical volatility and rising energy costs, he emphasised that the group remains focused on operational discipline and long-term value creation.
