PGF Capital Bhd’s profit after tax (PAT) rose 18.3% year-on-year to RM8.9 million in the first quarter ended May 31, 2026 (1Q27), driven by higher insulation sales and resilient demand from key markets.
Quarterly revenue increased 7.8% to RM43.7 million from RM40.6 million a year earlier.
The results included a RM700,000 mark-to-market unrealised gain on cross-currency swap facilities. Excluding the gain, profit growth was supported by higher revenue, partly offset by increased operating costs.
The insulation segment contributed RM43.6 million, or 99.6% of total revenue, compared with RM40.5 million in the corresponding quarter.
Group Chief Executive Officer Fong Wern Sheng said demand from Oceania, supported by stricter energy-efficiency requirements, remained a key earnings driver. The group is also assessing opportunities in other markets with similar insulation standards.
PGF Capital’s new Kulim plant remains on schedule, with machinery, gas pipeline and electrical infrastructure installation under way. It is expected to be fully operational by 3Q27, expanding capacity for domestic and export demand.
The group recorded net operating cash flow of RM1.34 million for the quarter, with net gearing at 0.5 times and net assets per share of RM1.52.
