PGF Capital Bhd posted a 11.3% year-on-year increase in profit after tax (PAT) to RM7.46 million for the quarter ended May 31, 2025 (1Q26), up from RM6.7 million in 1Q25. Revenue was stable at RM40.58 million, slightly higher than RM40.51 million in 1Q25.
The improved profitability was attributed to steady demand in its insulation segment and a continued focus on cost efficiency, which helped reduce operating expenses.
Looking ahead, the group is optimistic about the commercial rollout of its mineral wool sandwich panels, designed for industrial and commercial applications, including data centres. The panels have received SIRIM certification and are awaiting final approval from the Fire Department.
Meanwhile, PGF highlighted that its new plant in Kulim, Kedah, is progressing on schedule.
“Once operational, it will raise production capacity by 40,000 metric tonnes, bringing total annual capacity to 65,000 metric tonnes
“The facility has been granted a five-plus-five-year corporate tax holiday under the Northern Corridor Economic Region, which is expected to strengthen financial performance once the plant reaches profitability,” PGF said.
It added that it does not expect any significant impact from newly announced US tariffs, as over 70% of exports are directed to Oceania, with another 20% of revenue derived from the domestic market.
